It's Friday pumpkin!!!

Yay!! Its finally Friday!! I have some amazing things going on for next week and I think that's why I am so excited an happy its Friday. This week feels like its been going on for forever.

First of all, I have been blessed with an amazing neighbor. She is my sons' friends mother (lol! I know it sounds weird). She has offered to help me out with my kids so I can go back school which is awesome!! All she asked is for me to switch my daughters' pre-k schedule; totally doable so I did it. So starting Monday she'll be watching both my kiddos for me M,T & W taking my daughter to school and picking up all the kids after school for only $15 a day which is very reasonable considering my last sitter wanted $30 a day and she wasn't able to pick them up. So I get to go back to school starting Monday!!! Yay!!

But onto other things. So I had posted I did my own nails; a full set of acrylics which I wasn't very pleased with. They started lifting and I was needing a fill bad. So I took them off, which I realize now was a bad idea cause my nails are now super thin and severely bruised (at least my pink is :( ). I must have done it wrong, but i di it exactly they way they taught in school so i don't know what happened. So after bruising the crap out of my nails I went on pinterest looking for a easier less painful way to get the acrylic off your nails and found this

27 Nail Hacks For The Perfect DIY Manicure

Amazing right!? All kinda of cool DIY stuff for a perfect manicure I was so very happy when I found I haven't tried everything on there but I will ;) But anyways if you scroll down to #15 it shows you how to take off a gel manicure pretty simple and its stuff you have at home (if you do your nails as often as I do you rarely run out of this stuff). So I though hmmmm.......ok so I should be able to do this with acrylic right? WRONG! Well at least not with a regular acetone or non-acetone polish remover. So I was like ok I need to find another polish remover. So I went to my local Walmart and found this ---->
Onyx Professional Soak Off Gel & All Nail Coatings
I was ify of whether or not this would actually work. But figuring that it wouldn't hurt to try it I soaked some cotton balls in this and wrapped a few fingers that still had acrylic on them with aluminum foil and left it on for about 30-minutes maybe longer. When I went to take the foil off the acrylic came off with the cotton ball no scarping no pain involved. I am in love!! <3

It saved a few of my finger nails but I bruised the crap out my pinky nail and all my nails are so thin its ridiculous so I went on a mission today looking a a nail strengthener and repair and found one. But you'll have to wait til tomorrow to see what it is. Have a great Friday everyone thank you for stopping by :)

It's Been Awhile

Sorry for not updating you all but I have been insanely busy with school, kids, babysitters and just drama in general.

But i will give you all an update on what I have done so far in school. First I just want to tell you that I am in Phase 2 of school. That's right I past my first phase which was much more difficult than I thought it was going to be.

In Phase 1 I learned how to do a proper manicure, which you would think is pretty simple right? Wrong. I learned I have been giving my self a manicure the wrong way for years and I suck at putting nail polish on the right way that's for sure lol! But this will get better with time and practice. I also learned Infection Control. Meaning the DO's and DON'Ts when comes to nail care and your salon. Now I am just shocked at all the places I have gone to where I could've caught a fungus because of the way they do things (makes shiver ewww...).

I also learned how to do fiber glass nail wrap. Which in my opinion is way easier than acrylic but everyone is different. You can see for yourself tell me what you think here's a pic.
I had to do 5 of these Fiber Glass Nail Wrap

We also learned how to do pedicures, funguses, touched base a little on reflexology and the DO's and DON'Ts of pedicures.

Now I hate people touching my feet I am insanely ticklelish and a little self concisous about my feet. Long story short, I had a really bad wart problem on both feet got made fun of for it when I was in school had surgery got them removed but I still don't like people touching my feet, my husband doesn't even touch my feet.
I think pedicures are my thing. I like doing them and I feel I do a really nice job. Unfortunately when we did pedicures in school I didn't take pics but my classmate was pretty happy with her pedi :)

As it got closer to the end of Phase 1 we studied a lot for our phase out exam (both written and practical). But also during this time learned how to do acrylic nails and gel nails. I honestly didn't realize how much time and patience goes into doing acrylics and gels, I thought it was going to be super easy. No such luck but I did pretty good job on both, well at least that's what my teacher said she was really happy with my work. I do have pictures so I'll let you be the judge of that
So the first pic is acrylics that I did on a classmate.
Full set of acrylics on my classmate Krystal. She has naturally long nails so I didn't have to do much.
The gels on the other hand were a pain to do. I understand why people get them but good lord they are hard to do. Those I'm not happy with I wanted them to turn out better but I did the best I could not using a drill. Here's a pic.
These were done with CND (Creative Nail Design) Brisa Lite gels
Not my best work but my teacher liked the way it turned out. Probably would've turned out better if I used a drill to file instead of filing by hand but none the less this is the finished product on my mannequin hand.

And finally my phase out day. We did our practical first thing that morning which was ok but I wish I would've practiced more. I got a 73 for my phase out which is passing but really close to failing. To celebrate we did a potluck which was even more fun. But unfortunately I had to take leave of absence from school and I'm missing it and hating life right now.

That's all for now I'll update again when I go back to school which I'm hoping will be really soon.

Milan Institute of Cosmetology

I'm so excited! I am officially enrolled in Milan Institute of Cosmetology for their...........you guessed it Manicurist program!!

I start Monday and by Jan. 26 2015 I will officially be a licensed manicurist and hopefully a month afterwards I will have a job doing what I absolutely love! I will be keeping this more up to date with what I'll be doing school. I'm so excited! I had to share this amazing news. This is something I've wanted to do for such a long time I'm so glad that I am now able to go back to school for it.

I can honestly say this year seems to be going so good for my family and I. My husband is working on getting out of the Army which I honestly have mixed feelings about. He has done this Army thing for a good amount of time and it would be nice to have him home more often. the next thing is me going back school! I have wanted to do this for such a long time, but every time I think its the right time I always face some kind of challenge. Money, babysitter, transportation, etc. You name I've probably faced it. This time around I was able to find a babysitter the first time around that has no problem watching my amazing yet crazy kids and she isn't asking for very much which is also a plus.
My husband isn't thrilled with our money situation but the way I look at this is that it will only be like this for 6 months and then afterward things will be different. I'll be able to pull in and extra income on top of his. I am just so excited and happy I finally get to go back to school for something I love doing.

I just want to encourage all of you that read this if there is something you love doing and your good at than do it. Go back to school to get certified to do it or your degree or whatever it takes for your dream to come true. Its not impossible, if you have the will there is a way! hope you all have a fantastic day!! :)

Memorial Day/4th of July Nail Art!!

I know its been awhile since I have come up with any new nail art designs, and I apologize for that. I am now settled into our new home and back with a new nail art design!! Yay!!

With Memorial Day weekend here I thought I could something themed around that. I have so much love, honor and respect for those who put their life online for my family and our freedom. I just want to give a quick thank you to those who put their life on line everyday. I also feel that this nail art can also be used for 4th of July.

Alright so here are all the supplies I used to create this lovely look. I wanted to add some sparkle to it but the American flag doesn't have glitter in it and it pretty much sparkles on its own in my opinion :) You can pretty much make this look with household items which I will list at the end.
I will start by saying this I need more practice on my nail art. My stars didn't come out as well as I thought they would but this definitely came out better than I thought and hoped it would. I hope you all like this very simple nail art.
But make sure you use quality nail polish I used some dollar stor top and base coat, which unfortunately, made my blue and red nail polish run :/ but anways here is the finished product please leave me some feed back if have any suggestions on how I can improve my nail art skills. Thank you for stopping by :)

Household items that can used for this look:
-toothpicks or the ball part of a pin needle (I used a very fine dotting tool)
-binder ring menders or scotch tape (I used french tip stickers)

Sorry...no nail art

Being a mom definitely has its perks. But I must say one of my least favorite things about being a mom that loves her nails, is playing with legos, which sucks because I love playing with legos. So when my son gets this huge mega bloks Halo thing to put together from his uncle naturally his first thought is "hey my mom can help me with this." I love my son and because I love him so very much I have been helping him put together this Halo thingy which incidentally tor my nails up bad!! I have nothing but nubs now! My nails were never really very strong but I have also been going to nail salons and getting acrylic nails since I was 13.......I'm 26 (27 on Thursday) and you can still see indents on my nails from the acrylic nails.

It definitely makes me sad, but I'm going to have to take a break for maybe a week or so to repair my nails and get them long enough to do some kind of manicure or nail art on them. That's not to say I won't come up with a nail art design or something, its just easier for me to do it on my own nails. I hope that makes sense.

Also bare with me, this upcoming month (March) I'm going to be packing getting ready to move to Texas!! Oh the fun and amazing life of an army wife, love my husband dearly though and I can't wait for him to come home in April!!!

Finally, at last the week of Valentine's Day. Happy Valentine's Day to everyone by the way. Of course I'm kinda solo today cause my husband is still in Korea and won't be home for another 2 months but that's ok I'm spending this Valentine's Day with my girl since my mom took my son for the night. So we're sitting here watching Harry Potter movies and eating candy which is my idea of a GREAT Valentine's Day!!

Anyways here is the last nail art I came up with for Valentine's Day and honestly I love it!! Purple is my favorite color, February is my favorite month and the month of my birthday so it all makes sense to me lol! Anyways I hope you all enjoy it it was a gathered inspiration of different nail arts I found on pinterest (as usual lol!).

Valentine's Day Nail Art Week: Jan.26-Feb.1

I'm so glad to be back with a working phone! Thank god my husband took the time from his busy schedule to help me get everything together to get my phone working again. I couldn't be more thankful! Thank you so much Michael!!.

Now onto business, so this post will start with Jan. 26th--Feb. 1st and the next will be posted probably next week. So pretty much I'll be playing catch up, which sucks buts not too bad. So here we go! :)

I loved this and honestly it could've turned out better. I think it might be time to invest in some new and better nail polish. Hopefully one of my loving sisters or family members will get me a gift card to Sally's or something.....***hint hint*** lol!! This was inspired by a few designs I have pinned on my pinterest board, and as soon as I figure out how to get a pinterest button on here you will be able to follow me on pinterest. I'm working on it lol!!

**After careful thought and realization that I'm not really doing anything right now I have decided to do the next nail art design this going to so much fun!! and hopefully you all love it!!**

Broken phone NO BUENO

First off let me say I'm sorry for the delay in posts. I know in my last post I had said I was going to do the 14 days of Valentine's Day, well I changed it to 1 nail art design every week to make it easier on me lol! But on a sadder note my phone is broken :( I mean my screen was cracked before pretty bad, but now it won't even show picture or anything, I can't answer phone calls or check text msgs or anything else. Including my camera which sucks cause I use it to take all my pictures of my nails. I'm so upset I'm doing everything I can to resolve this issue. Hopefully it doesn't take too long. :/

Lack of inspiration

I can usually find inspiration to come up with a really neat, pretty or cute nail art design to do. But lately I have been in this rut. With my husband due to come home in April, I've been trying help my sisters who I live with find a place and get everything situated so when I leave they have a place to stay. Not only am I dealing with that my nephew was in the hospital for about a week and was there for his and my sons' birthday. So naturally there was no party and I honestly feel bad about that but they don't seem upset by it which is good I think. Along with all that my doc gets the test results in from my blood work and tells me my liver is badly inflamed.  I didn't think much of this until I got to my car. Then I told my husband and now he's freaking out. So I went and did more blood work but I won't get those results until the 14th of  February which sucks because I dont want to spend my Valentine's day worrying about test result ugh!
Anyways I'll be back the 1st of February to do a "14 days of Nail Art." This will be themed around Valentine's day and hoping to get in a different design everyday until Valentine's day hopefully this works to my advantage. I'll see you all later have a good day!! Thanks for stopping by :)

♥49er Themed Nail Art!!♥

Ok so I'm not big into football or any particular team but my family is for sure! That's what inspired this nail art my family, with the exception of my older sister, are die hard 49er fans. One of my younger sisters had asked me in the beginning of the football season to come up with a nail art for the niners. So I tired different things but nothing I really until I did this one♥
Let me know what you think and I did this super easy! I'll post the tutorial later today thanx for stopping by have a great day! :)

I should've added this too but I completely forgot about it. But here is a simple White tip with red and gold polka dots I thought this was super cute and so simple and fun to do. This could go for any team just pick your team colors you want and what color you want your tips to be. I hope you all like it and if you would like to see tutorial for it please just msg me or comment below :)

STAR WARS NAIL ART!!!

After searching the internet for Star Wars nail art tutorials that I found would help me and to link for you guys I came up with nothing. Sad I know. So I took a night to myself and came up with some not so easy nail art to show you all. Granted a lot of it needs work but I'm not a pro and I have never gone to school for this or anything else nail related so this is just my take on it. I would like to do tutorial for you guys on how I did at least 2 of these but I need some honest feed back. Please let me know what you think of it and maybe some of your own ideas on how it could be improved. Thanx see you soon :)

Star Wars Nail Art???

I can't seem to find it anywhere. This is really kinda bumming me out. I'm not a HUGE fan of Star Wars they're good movies kinda weird but good. The only reason I'm looking to do this is my nephew and my son birthdays are coming up and they agreed to do a Star Wars themed birthday party. So me being me I will be sportn the Star Wars nail art on their birthday which on the same day! (yup they share a birthday only 18 hours apart!!) Anyways I'm going to try and see what I cn come up with on my own cause some of these videos are kinda blah and not what I was looking for so wish me luck and hopefully I'll come up with something good!

Happy New Year!!

I hope you all had a safe and fun New Year, I know I did! I spent the New Year with my family missed my husband terribly but I had a good time over all. I went and hung out with my dad and my aunts, uncle and cousins on my dad's side of the family which was nice. Trying to get in as much time as possible with everyone before we move again.
But anyways I did do my nails for New Years, not a lot of nail art in this one. I've done it before and I just loved the way it turned out and I'm in LOVE with the color purple such a pretty color. So here's how my nails turned out :)
1st time light purple leopard print

2nd time dark purple leopard print
The first time I did it was with lighter purple but I liked this too. But like I said not much nail art here, just the leopard print which isn't as hard as it looks. I found a tutorial on how to do it super easy to follow. Here's the link to the tutorial I used. Hope this is helpful and easy to follow if you have any questions msg me. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cNYWKAWxHzo
