Sorry for not updating you all but I have been insanely busy with school, kids, babysitters and just drama in general.
But i will give you all an update on what I have done so far in school. First I just want to tell you that I am in Phase 2 of school. That's right I past my first phase which was much more difficult than I thought it was going to be.
In Phase 1 I learned how to do a proper manicure, which you would think is pretty simple right? Wrong. I learned I have been giving my self a manicure the wrong way for years and I suck at putting nail polish on the right way that's for sure lol! But this will get better with time and practice. I also learned Infection Control. Meaning the DO's and DON'Ts when comes to nail care and your salon. Now I am just shocked at all the places I have gone to where I could've caught a fungus because of the way they do things (makes shiver ewww...).
I also learned how to do fiber glass nail wrap. Which in my opinion is way easier than acrylic but everyone is different. You can see for yourself tell me what you think here's a pic.

I had to do 5 of these Fiber Glass Nail Wrap |
We also learned how to do pedicures, funguses, touched base a little on reflexology and the DO's and DON'Ts of pedicures.
Now I hate people touching my feet I am insanely ticklelish and a little self concisous about my feet. Long story short, I had a really bad wart problem on both feet got made fun of for it when I was in school had surgery got them removed but I still don't like people touching my feet, my husband doesn't even touch my feet.
I think pedicures are my thing. I like doing them and I feel I do a really nice job. Unfortunately when we did pedicures in school I didn't take pics but my classmate was pretty happy with her pedi :)
As it got closer to the end of Phase 1 we studied a lot for our phase out exam (both written and practical). But also during this time learned how to do acrylic nails and gel nails. I honestly didn't realize how much time and patience goes into doing acrylics and gels, I thought it was going to be super easy. No such luck but I did pretty good job on both, well at least that's what my teacher said she was really happy with my work. I do have pictures so I'll let you be the judge of that
So the first pic is acrylics that I did on a classmate.

Full set of acrylics on my classmate Krystal. She has naturally long nails so I didn't have to do much. |
The gels on the other hand were a pain to do. I understand why people get them but good lord they are hard to do. Those I'm not happy with I wanted them to turn out better but I did the best I could not using a drill. Here's a pic.

These were done with CND (Creative Nail Design) Brisa Lite gels |
Not my best work but my teacher liked the way it turned out. Probably would've turned out better if I used a drill to file instead of filing by hand but none the less this is the finished product on my mannequin hand.
And finally my phase out day. We did our practical first thing that morning which was ok but I wish I would've practiced more. I got a 73 for my phase out which is passing but really close to failing. To celebrate we did a potluck which was even more fun. But unfortunately I had to take leave of absence from school and I'm missing it and hating life right now.
That's all for now I'll update again when I go back to school which I'm hoping will be really soon.
