Health & Wellness Wednesday!!

Health & Wellness Wednesday!

I wanted to clarify a little bit on what these posts will be about. I thought it was pretty self-explanatory but I thought I would further explain it.
These post will cover things such as
  1. General Health (mine and yours) because you matter. This will also include exercises that simple, fast and easy to do but will range from beginner to intermediate exercises.
  2. Making sure your mind body and soul is also being taken care of because these parts of your body matter just like your whole body.
  3. Household & family care. Meaning anything I find helpful to care for myself and my family and that I think you could benefit from.
  4. And last but not least, hand, nail, foot and toenail care.
It is so VERY IMPORTANT to take care of every single part of your body. It keeps you going and you happy and healthy. Will also help you live a long happy life.
I will do my best to touch base on each of these subjects in a day (if can). If not there will be at least one post about one of these, because they all matter to me very much.

So now that I broken down what the the Health & Wellness posts will be about I have a topic I would like to talk about and what I think would be helpful to most people.
My first topic is the stain of nail polish. Now I can't be the only person, nail technician or whatever that has had the problem. You go to remove that beautiful red (any other color polish) from your nails only to find that it has stained your nails and your around your fingers (ugh!). Worst nightmare ever! Luckily I have found a solution to this god awful problem; and here it is. You'll need some baking soda and dish soap (I used Dawn but whatever you have on hand should work fine) follow these instructions:

  • Once you have removed all the polish from nails, you will next want to remove as much of the staining possible (going over your nails your polish remover and a clean cotton ball)
  • Now pour a little less than a handful of baking soda into the palm of you hand, add in some dawn and rub vigorously paying special attention to your nails and fingers.
  • Rinse under warm water and the staining should be gone.
*I also used sugar to give a little scrub and also to make my skin a little softer but that is up to you*
**I have also used this same trick to remove stains out of clothes. Only washing your clothes first and then treat said stain and rewash said clothes. But I'm sure this method works as a great pre-treat.**

Now this worked for me that does not mean it will work for everyone. So please if you try it let me know how it worked for you and if you have any other tricks on how to remove the staining of nail polish.
